Whether you’ve been imagining a charm that doesn’t exist yet, want to tweak a colour in an existing design, or would love a pair of earrings to match your pet spider (hey, we get it 🕷️✨), we’re excited to craft your dream jewellery— just for you, flame and all.

🎨 Our Design Aesthetic

We love bringing your ideas to life, it’s important to understand that molten glass has a mind of its own. Working with soft glass in a flame means we’re shaping each piece in real time—without molds, lasers, or perfect symmetry. This process naturally lends itself to simplified, endearing designs, rather than hyper-realistic detail.

For that reason, we don’t offer custom pieces in a realism aesthetic (e.g. highly detailed faces, portraits, or true-to-life animal sculpts). We’re always happy to interpret your ideas in our signature adorable style! 🌟

What to Expect in Your Custom Design💝

At Purring Embers Studio, all custom pieces are lovingly created in our signature style—a playful mix of handmade lampwork glass beads, fun colour palettes, and whimsical details that feel like sunshine in jewellery form.🌷

To keep every piece cohesive, here’s what to expect in terms of design and bead placement for our beaded customs:

🎀 Custom Beaded Necklaces

Your custom necklace will include:

🩷 1 Focal Lampwork Bead — This is your main custom request (e.g. a grey tabby cat)
❤️ 2 Simple Special Lampwork Beads — You can choose two charming extras (e.g. a corn and an apple)

The Signature Design Finishings:

🧡 2 floral encased lampwork beads
💛 2 heart-shaped lampwork beads
💚 A mix of basic circular lampwork beads in your chosen colour scheme
🩵 Accents like crystal beads and freshwater pearls

These elements come together to create a balanced, joyful composition that reflects our house style and your personal touch!

🌸 Custom Beaded Bracelets

Due to the shorter length, bracelet customs include:

🩷 1 Focal Lampwork Bead — This is your main custom request (e.g. a dachshund)
❤️ 1 Simple Special Lampwork Bead — one fun accent (e.g. a bone)

The Signature Design Finishings:

🧡 1 floral encased lampwork beads
💛 1 heart-shaped lampwork beads
💚 Some basic circular lampwork beads in your chosen colour scheme
🩵 Accents like crystal beads and freshwater pearls

🔥 How the Custom Process Works:

  • 🔮 Step 1: Share Your Idea

    After completing your order, just drop us an email at hello.purringembersstudio@gmail.com. Please include your order ID (e.g. PES1234) so that we know who you are! We’ll reply within a few working days to let you know if your idea is possible, and how we can adapt it into something uniquely Purring Embers Studio.

    Please include:
    🩷 A short description of what you're hoping for.
    ❤️ Reference photos (if relevant—especially helpful for animals, food, or colour schemes!)
    🧡 Any preferences for jewellery type (necklace, earrings, bracelet), and metal.
    💛 Your preferred sizing (e.g. bracelet or necklace length)

  • 🎨 Step 2: Confirm The Design

    Once we’ve reviewed your request, Amanda will work closely with you to finalise the design—confirming colours, and any charms you'd like to add on (at an additional fee).

    With the details settled, it’s time to dive into the glass itself. Amanda carefully selects from her collection of 104 COE soft glass rods, choosing just the right shades, transparencies, and finishes to bring your vision to life.

    Working with soft glass is both an art and a science—colours can shift subtly when exposed to heat, and even the thickness of each rod can affect how it melts and moves in the flame. It’s all part of the magic that makes every piece truly one of a kind. ✨

  • 🔥 Step 3: To the Flame We Go

    Once your materials are ready and inspiration is flowing, Amanda lights the torch and begins shaping your charm(s) by hand—one by one.

    Each glass piece is formed in real time in the flame, without molds, using only tools, gravity, and intuition. Once sculpted, it’s placed in a kiln to anneal overnight—a crucial step that strengthens the glass and ensures your charm lasts for years to come.

  • 🧼 Step 4: Bath Time for Your Charms

    After annealing, the charm is cleaned, polished, and inspected for quality. We’ll send you photos of the finished charm(s) so you can see the results before your jewellery is assembled.

    If you have any final thoughts or small tweaks (where possible), now’s the time to let us know before the piece is completed.

  • 🌸 Step 5: Assembly & Packaging

    Once you give the thumbs-up, Amanda meticulously assembles your finished jewellery—whether it’s a pair of earrings, a beaded necklace, or a bracelet. Then it's packaged with care in our branded gift box, wrapped safely for its journey, and shipped via tracked SingPost delivery.

    You’ll receive an email with your tracking number once it’s on the way! 📦💌

  • 🎁 Step 6: Your One-of-a-Kind Piece Arrives!

    The moment has arrived—your custom jewellery is finally in your hands! ✨ Carefully wrapped and packed with love, your handmade piece is ready to be worn, treasured, and admired.

🎀 Adding Custom Charms to Jewellery

We’d love to help you make your piece even more fabulous! 💖 Just a heads-up — adding extra custom charms does come with an additional fee, which depends on how detailed the design is. To make the process as smooth as possible, we recommend keeping your charm ideas sweet and simple! ✨

🌻Adding more charms to your custom order

To add extra charms beyond what’s included, you can indicate this in the email of your custom order(s) which you will send to us after checkout (Step 1 of 6 in our Customs Process).

What to expect:

💚 We'll review your request and let you know if we can take it on ✨

❤️ Once approved, we’ll send you the fee details. We’ll only begin making the charm(s) after payment is received.

💫 A few things to note:

🧡 Custom orders typically take 6–10 weeks to complete. We’ll drop you an email once we’re ready to begin crafting your special piece!

💛 When your charm(s) are ready, we’ll send preview photos to your inbox for approval. If we don’t hear back within 72 hours, we’ll take that as a happy yes and move ahead with finishing and shipping your order.

🩷 If your request is beyond our current capabilities, we’ll be honest about it—but may suggest an alternative idea!

💜 All customs are subject to availability and may be limited depending on Amanda’s schedule and open slots.

🩵 Custom orders are non-refundable, non-returnable, and cannot be cancelled once design or torch work has begun.
